Eric Donaldson

Visual Instructor

Eric Donaldson is a native of the Atlanta area, a graduate of Villa Rica High School in Villa Rica, Georgia, and holds a B.A. in Music Education from Kennesaw State University. Mr. Donaldson has been teaching marching band since 2007, with a focus on visual caption; he began by teaching several high school bands in Georgia, including Villa Rica HS (2007-08), Wheeler HS (2009-14), Kennesaw Mountain HS (2014) and Roswell HS (2015). He then came up to the DC area, where he worked with the South County HS marching band from 2018-19.  Mr. Donaldson has also taught visual elements at the Drum Corps International level, working with the Glassmen in 2012 and Carolina Crown in 2013.  He has also consulted for bands in California and Texas. Mr. Donaldson has been a member of “The Commandant’s Own” United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps since 2016, where he currently serves as the unit’s Drillmaster, responsible for the visual aspect of the unit’s “Music in Motion” show.
